Marketing Technical Editor and Proofreader

BITStudios.com is seeking a Technical Editor and Proofreader to join our content marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all of our articles are technically accurate and provide value to our target audience. 

The Technical Editor and Proofreader will work closely with our content team to review all article outlines and proofread articles to confirm accuracy from a technical perspective. They will also be responsible for reviewing all article design assets and infographics for relevance and accuracy. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with excellent communication skills and an ability to work well under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review all article outlines and proofread articles to confirm accuracy from a technical perspective.
• Review all article design assets and infographics for relevance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the content team to ensure that all articles are technically accurate and provide value to our target audience.
• Identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies in the content.
• Ensure that all articles follow the appropriate style guides and formatting.
• Communicate with the content team to provide feedback and suggestions for improvements.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Technical Editor and Proofreader or similar role
• Strong technical background and understanding of the technology industry
• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with style guides such as the AP Stylebook or the Chicago Manual of Style
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines
• Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
